| Atlas Energy, Inc. operates as an independent natural gas and oil producer principally in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Tennessee. It holds interests in various properties located in the Appalachian Basin; the New Albany shale in Indiana; the Antrim Shale located in northern Michigan; and the Chattanooga Shale located in Tennessee. The company also provides natural gas gathering services in the Anadarko, Arkoma, and Permian Basins, as well as the Golden Trend in the southwestern and mid-continent United States. In addition, it offers natural gas processing and treatment services in Oklahoma and Texas; and interstate gas transmission services in southeastern Oklahoma, Arkansas, southern Kansas, and southeastern Missouri. The company owns and operates approximately 7,900 miles of intrastate gas gathering pipeline and a 565-mile interstate natural gas pipeline in the Mid-Continent region; and approximately 1,600 miles of natural gas gathering pipelines in Appalachia. Atlas Energy, Inc. is based in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. |
