| Arbor Realty Trust, Inc. operates as a real estate investment trust (REIT). The trust invests in real estate related bridge and mezzanine loans, preferred and direct equity, mortgage-backed securities, discounted mortgage notes, and other real estate related assets. It offers bridge financing products to borrowers who seek short term capital to be used in an acquisition of property. Arbor Realty Trust offers mezzanine loans, which are loans subordinate to a conventional first mortgage loan and senior to the borrowers equity in a transaction. Arbor Realty Trust qualifies as a REIT under the Internal Revenue Code. Arbor Commercial Mortgage, LLC serves as the manager and advisor to the trust. Arbor Realty Trust was formed in 2003 and is based in Uniondale, New York. |
